Emily Procter

 American actress Emily Mallory Procter was born October 8, 1968. She played Ainsley Hayes in the NBC political drama The West Wing (2000-2002; 2006) and Det. Calleigh Duquesne in the CBS police procedural drama CSI: Miami (2002-2012).



 



 Early life



 Procter was born on October 8, 1968. At the age of a newborn she was adopted by William Procter (a general practitioner) and Barbara Jones (a volunteer worker). She was raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was three years old when her parents separated. Whit is her older brother . She is also an adoptee.



 



 Ravenscroft School was where Procter attended school in Raleigh. While attending East Carolina University, Procter became a part of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Procter was employed as a television anchor on news for WNCT in Greenville, North Carolina. Procter eventually earned diplomas in dance and journalism.
